Iroghama Ogbeifun is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Starzs Investments Company Limited, a fully indigenous ship-owning marine logistics company providing offshore support and vessel logistics services to international oil companies operating in Nigeria’s deep offshore waters. She oversees the strategic direction and operations of an eleven-vessel fleet, driving excellence in service delivery, operational performance, and industry leadership. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and a Master of Science in Public Health and Health Promotion from Brunel University, London. She is an alumna of the Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management (OPM) program and holds professional certifications in Commercial Risk in Shipping from Lloyd’s Maritime Academy and the ABC of Shipping from the Nigerian Chamber of Shipping. Iroghama’s career at Starzs Investments Company has spanned key leadership roles: beginning as Executive Director, then Chief Operating Officer, before her appointment as MD/CEO. She has led significant milestones for the company, including securing $15 million in Mezzanine Debt for business expansion and overseeing the company’s asset growth from 3 ships in 2014 to 11 ships by 2021, solidifying Starzs Investments as a major force in Nigeria’s maritime logistics industry. She also serves as Vice Chairman of Starzs Gas Limited and as a Director at Eaglewatch Security Limited. As an industry leader, Iroghama holds key positions across several professional and regulatory bodies. She is a Member of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Ship Owners Association of Nigeria (SOAN), and a Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD). She is also a Fellow of the National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA), an Associate Member of Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), and a Patron of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN). In addition, she is a Founding Member of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN), where she continues to champion the advancement of women in the energy and maritime sectors. In addition, she is the Founder of Hairven, a beauty and wellness brand, and Stratom Concept Limited, a diversified company with interests across multiple sectors. A passionate advocate for women’s advancement in the energy industry, she is a Founding Member and Sponsorship Director of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN). She is also a Member of the Institute of Directors (IOD), a Fellow of the National Institute of Credit Administration (NICA), an Associate Member of WIMBIZ, a Patron of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN), and a Member of GAIA Africa. Her entrepreneurial achievements and leadership excellence have earned her numerous recognitions, including winning the maiden edition of The Next Titan in 2013, the Outstanding Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2021, the Maritime CEO of the Year Award in 2022, the Oil Industry Trendsetter Award in 2022, the Business Leader of the Year Award in 2023, and the Rising Star Award at the NOG Energy Week in 2024. She was further honored with the Women in Leadership Award for Promoting Women Empowerment by the NCDMB in collaboration with Sweetcrude Reports at the 2025 Nigerian Oil & Gas Opportunity Fair, and most recently received the Vanguard Personality of the Year (Maritime Icon) Award in 2026, in addition to being recognized by The Guardian as one of Nigeria’s 100 Truly Inspiring and Award-Winning Amazons. Renowned as a compelling and influential speaker, she has addressed audiences at major industry gatherings including the Nigeria Women in Oil & Gas Conference, the Nigerian International Energy Summit, the Nigeria Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition, the British Commonwealth Business Forum, the NCDMB Practical Nigerian Content Conference, TEDx, Africa Maritime and Shipping Assembly, among many others. Beyond her professional achievements, Iroghama is dedicated to mentorship and the empowerment of young female entrepreneurs. She is a devoted mother to twin daughters and continues to champion initiatives that foster women’s participation and leadership across sectors.
