Capt. Iyene Amapakabo is the founder and chief executive officer of Wiltten Aviation logistics Nigeria . He oversees the vision of the Lagos -based aviation firm, which employs over 30 qualified industry experts nation wide, with representatives in the United Kingdom and South Africa. With over 20 aviation assets in its portfolio, and consultancy services being provided to a wide array of clients , Wiltten aviation prides itself in its ability to tailor its services to meet its clients specific needs. Capt. Iyene has extensive expertise in a wide array of strategic, business, safety and regulatory and operational matters in the aviation and oil and gas industries as a result of his executive, management and operational experience. Prior to founding Wiltten, He had served as acting managing director aero contractor Nigeria and Director of business development. West Africa Omni Helicopters International. During his time with the aero contractors. he focused on creating and driving added-value initiatives that were tailored towards profitability. He began his working career with Western Atlas core laboratories Nigeria as a geologist, before going off to obtain a fixed as well as a rotary wing commercial pilots license; after which he joined aero contractors as a line pilot , becoming a training captain , Chief pilot , head of flight operations and managing director; all within a 12 year period. A native of Okrika Rivers State , He holds a bachelor’s degree in geology from the University of Port Harcourt ,graduate degrees in management and air transport management from the Robert Gordon university Aberdeen, and university of Cranfield respectively, with an MBA from the university of Cumbria. He is great enthusiast of the game of polo, and is the immediate past chairman of the Nigerian polo Association. He’s an avid golfer and loves astronomy.
